REQUEST FOR TENDER (RFT)
Rarotonga Road Improvement Project, Arorangi
The Cook Islands Government through Infrastructure Cook Islands (ICI) is seeking suitably qualified tenderers to submit a tender for the Rarotonga Road Improvement Project, Arorangi.
ICI wishes to implement the Arorangi section of the Rarotonga Road Improvement Project which aims to improve the road network improving the service and safety provided by the network and reducing the lifecycle costs of road assets.
This RFT is for the construction of the Arorangi section of the Rarotonga Road Improvement Project. The contract works includes the upgrading and chip seal surfacing of approximately 5.0 km of Ara Tapu (main road) between the end of the existing asphalt surfacing at the intersection of Pokoinu Road and Ara Tapu in Nikao, to the intersection of Ara Tapu and Vaiokura Road adjacent to the Betela Meeting House. And includes;
- Services trenching and service installation in conjunction with utility providers.
- Demolition and clearing works
- Scarify and removal of existing surfacing
- Construction of pavement widening
- Pavement rehabilitation by dig out and replace
- Construction of pavement overlay
- Construction of storm water drainage including subsoil drainage construction
- Kerb and footpath construction
- Protection and relocating of services where required
- Pavement surfacing (Two Coat chip seal)
- Installation of road signage and pavement marking
- Construction of School Road Safety Improvements at Apii Arorangi
Tenderers should ensure they are registered accordingly on the Cook Islands Government E-Government Procurement portal at https://in-tendhost.co.uk/adbprocurementnetwork/aspx/Home, and have downloaded or received all files for the RFT including all prospective notices. Files can also be obtained online via www.procurement.gov.ck or www.ici.gov.ck .
Tenders close at 12:00p.m. on Friday, 29th March 2018 (new closing date – refer to NTT003), and must be submitted as per the requirements of the RFT.
