The Ministry of Finance and Economic Management invites applications from interested and qualified individuals for vacant positions within our Economic Planning Division.
Senior Macroeconomist
The Senior Macroeconomist will be responsible for analysing and reporting on the economic environment, developing economic policy, managing the Cook Island’s Fiscal Framework, and developing the budget and fiscal analysis.
To be successful in this position, you are required to have:
- A post-graduate degree in economics or a related area
- High level knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel (Computer literate)
- 5 years’ experience working in an economic related field or in policy development
Microeconomist
The Microeconomist will be responsible for supporting economic policy development, and coordinating the secretariat duties for the price tribunal, including data collection, research, and developing price determinations.
To be successful in this role, you are required to have:
- Tertiary level degree
- High level knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly Excel (Computer literate)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Cook Islands Maori
